Trump Declares Iran Strike Total Win
The former president took to Truth Social to lash out at Rep. Thomas Massie, a Republican from Kentucky, who had questioned the legality of the strikes, calling them “not constitutional.”
Massie, a frequent critic of unauthorized military actions, had recently introduced a bipartisan measure aimed at preventing the U.S. from launching military operations against Iran without congressional approval. He argued the law clearly states that only Congress has the power to declare war.
“We had a spectacular military success yesterday, taking the ‘bomb’ right out of their hands,” Trump wrote on the social media platform.
He portrayed Iran as a serious danger, claiming Tehran would have deployed the "bomb" if it had the chance. Trump also referenced Iran’s past hostility, mentioning the deaths and injuries of “thousands of Americans” and the 444-day seizure of the U.S. Embassy in 1979.
Blasting Massie for his stance, Trump said the congressman was undermining “what was so brilliantly achieved last night in Iran.” He also criticized him for failing to recognize “their brilliance and bravery in yesterday’s attack.”
According to military sources, the U.S. launched a massive coordinated assault on three major Iranian nuclear locations. Over 125 aircraft, including advanced B-2 stealth bombers, were involved in the operation. The Fordo facility was hit with six precision bunker-buster bombs, while U.S. Navy submarines fired dozens of cruise missiles targeting the Natanz and Isfahan sites.
General Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and an Air Force officer, confirmed that while a full assessment is ongoing, early indications suggest “extremely severe” damage at all three locations.
“Thank you to our incredible military for the AMAZING job they did last night. It was really SPECIAL!!” Trump added in his statement.
